As I was taking a detox bath today, I was looking at my body. Really looking at my body. I have extra fat, stretch marks, and cellulite. If I judge myself by what I see and talk negatively about my body, does that add up to who I am or define me as a person? Does that tell my story as a person? My body has carried and gave birth to 3 amazing children. My body is able to work out hard and is strong. My body is able to run several miles at a time. My body carried extra weight for most of my life, and then it has successful lost and kept off 80 lbs for over 10 years. All of these positive things are not based on the negative things I stated about it above. The negative things you say about your body doesn't tell your story either. Why do we allow society to tell us how we should judge our bodies? Who decided that our bodies should looks a certain way? Lets be honest. When is the last time you talked positively about your body? I bet you have said negative things almost everyday. Wonder what would happen if we focused on what we loved about our bodies instead? How do you think it would change your self image and confidence?
